Snow

I love snow. I love the way it falls from the sky, caught in the breeze, drifting through the air. The wind blows and it sweeps across the landscape. The wind stops, the snow pauses, gravity relents for a second, and time stands still.

My island home

Everyone keeps asking what Tasmania's like, so I decided to make it easy for all of us, and make an album of my favourite Tasmanian places, things and general photos. I thought it deserved a nice soppy description, to match my nice soppy post from a few months back about what homesickness really is, so don't worry too much about that. I guess in some ways this is part two to that - that was people focussed, this is place focussed. I'm starting to look forward to going home quite a bit, because once things are inevitable, my brain accepts that into its upcoming diary and gets excited. Doesn't mean I'm not happy to still be here, just means my ticket is booked, and there's nothing I can do about it.

So if you know Tasmania, check out these pics, plan new adventures for when I return, remember the times we had. If you haven't been there and keep asking what it's like, three words: Come, visit me. If you need more than that, hopefully these will help to give you an idea. I imagine I'll be taking far better ones when I get back, now I've had lots of practice, but these will do for the minute...

Click the photo, and you'll see my album. And I hope to see you there soon.
