I get sick of all the depressing news, and I know everyone else does to. There is good stuff in the world, believe it or not, so I've decided to share some of the funny, good or weird stories of the day (or week as it may turn out to be!) Click on the blurb and see the article! Tell me if it's a good thing to do, I enjoy going through news websites and finding the quirky stories and it's a fabulous procrastination tool!

Going on a Doctor Who hunt

I'm getting desperate, I need the end of my Doctor Who fix!! Been watching all the new ones, which my parents taped for me, but unfortunately can't find 3 or 4 episodes... They got taped on many different tapes, and I know I've missed a couple because I've seen the ads at the end of each episode, but not the full story! If anyone has the full series on video or DVD, could i please borrow it? I'm missing the one where Earth gets blown up, and there's a conference of lots of different species, including the last human, Lady someone who's just a sheet of skin pegged on a frame, also the one where the UFO lands in London and destroys Big Ben, and the one where Captain Jack first comes along, in WW2... I think there may be another one I've missed, but don't know! Ahhhh! They're fantastic though, so much more in depth and addictive than the older ones (although I did like Tom Baker as the doctor!)... And I like Christopher Eccleston as the doctor, he looks funny enough to do the job well!

Anyway, this is a desperate plea.... Please tell me!!! Also tell me if there's a massive gap on my blog between the posts, and the sidebar bit... It all depends on the browser and the computer for me! But Doctor Who is more important!

New look!

AS you have hopefully noticed, I have changed the appearance of my blog (and added and taken a few links etc etc)... I'd love to know what you think, whether it's too hard to read, needs other colours, doesn't work properly on your computer (or you don't think it's working properly...) etc etc! Feedback is lovely! I worked hard to get it to this look, so no whinging, just constructive critisicm... You are the ones that have to look at it!

I got my Ls again, hooray! Haven't actually been for a drive since then, all a bit crazy here at the moment (we're getting a new washing machine soon too... Hooray! Maybe i'll actually be able to operate it!) Going over to Melbourne soon too...

Named twins!

They both have names now, very cool names at that, which is good,but now we all have to get used to referring to them by real names, instead of T1 and T2... Susan is disappointed that they've been named, I think she was looking forward to a lifetime of making Terminator and Anie jokes.... Anyway, the twins, their names: Ashar and Rohan... And don't say it, I thought it too... Very Lord of the Rings, but I don't think that was the intention!! Apparently Ashar is the brother of someone in the Bible, but in my Tasmanian Road Rule swamped brain (I'm jsut about to go for my Ls again!) I can't remember! and Rohan is the Irish (I think) spelling of Rowan.... I think they're very good names though... Ash and Ro...!! No middle names, apparently Granny told my sister that middles names are very old fashioned, and whether this was supposed to be a deterrent or not, it's worked!

So that's my news for the week, nothing else much, had 3 different parties for Aussie Day yesterday, felt mildly chuffed that I'd guessed Gorillaz and Foo Fighters would be somewhere in the top ten of the Hottest 100, and managed to tan through the sunscreen, on my front at least (I think Bridget put it on my back too thickly for any form of rays to get through, atomic included.... That's ok, I'll be safe from sun induced cancer at least.... although sunscreen induced cancer is another matter!)

Stu and Elly's wedding is tomorrow, hooray! I've bought a dress for it (black, I know what everyone will say, but I reallydon't care!) and am looking forward to it! Is up in Launie, so we'll be going up tomorrow, coming back down on Sunday....

Then for you in Austria, enjoying that snow.... Last Sunday was very hot, I reckon it got to about 40 degrees, so a whole heap of us went to a really nice fresh water swimming place near Huonville.... Ahhh.... Three metre deep water, nice big cliff beside it to jump off (well I didn't enjoy the jumpng so much, but other people did!) as well as faster moving water, but only ankle deep.... Crazy place, hard to describe really! We then went and played hockey, blergh that was hot! 6pm, and a thermometer in town reckoned it was 43 degrees.... I was wearing two pairs of hockey socks too, I could have squeezed water out of them afterwards.... We won though! Hooray!

Barely seen my parents in the past few weeks, I've had so much on since I got back, but since Christmas I've just been hectic! Two weeks of camps, then my parents were away for a week, then I was housesitting for a few days, and now I'm just enjoying being able to sit at home and not have to do anything.... Except organise a few things (anyone interesting in Relay for Life?) and start thinking about what I need for uni! But I don't have to go anywhere to organise things, which is lovely!

Gotta go, lunchtime, then licence time!

Aunty Mog, take 2 (and 3)

I'm an aunty again, and there are a few pics, just to prove it! Both are healthy, small, but everything's normal! They'll be kept in for another 4 or 5 weeks, but my sister goes home on the weekend! It's so exciting!!!

Thanks for all the prayer about them, please keep it up, they'll still be needing those eyes watching over all the time....

I think I've gotten a job... Have a trial tomorrow at a backpackers in town, which I'm really looking forward to, because it's exactly waht I wanted... Hopefully they'll keep me on after that....

But yay! Twins! Healthy! Rose's (my niece, their sister) reaction apparently was very funny. She's been jabbering on about the twins for months now, and kissing them goodnight through the belly button, but it's all been a bit abstract for her and she was silent, gobsmacked for about a minute when she met them for the first time! Then went home saying "babies got fingers. Babies got 2 eyes. Babies in box" (from mummy's tummy to a box.... logical)
